Air fryer Ham and cheese sliders

Posted on January 17, 2023 by admin

Air fryer Ham and cheese sliders made with King’s Hawaiian rolls are one of our favorite ways to use up leftover ham. Making ham and Swiss cheese sliders in the air fryer is ridiculously easy and all you need is a few ingredients and less than 10 mins. Isn’t this one of the best things ever?

EQUIPMENT

  • Air fryer
  • Pastry brush

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 12 slices ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Everything bagel seasoning

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix the melted butter with the Everything Bagel seasoning and set aside.
  2. Cut the Swiss cheese into quarts then set aside.
  3. Separate the sweet Hawaiian rolls into individual rolls then cut each roll into halves. Spread mayonnaise on the inner surfaces of the cut rolls.
  4. Arrange the bottom buns in the air fryer basket or rack with the mayonnaise side facing up.
  5. Place two pieces of the Swiss cheese on each bun.
  6. Next fold the ham to fit the buns before placing it on the cheese. Cover with the other halves of the bun.
  7. Brush that butter and Everything bagel seasoning mix on the top of the buns.
  8. Bake at 350°F / 180°C for 6 to 8 mins or until cheese melts.

    NOTES

  • Everything bagel seasoning can be salty depending on the brand you use. It’s best to use unsalted butter to be able to control the salt in the recipe.
  • We love to use King’s Hawaiian rolls to make air fryer sliders. You could use any slider roll you can find including homemade Hawaiian rolls or pre sliced store bought slider rolls.
  • You don’t need to preheat the air fryer. However if cooking in batches the second batch will cook faster since the air fryer got preheated while cooking the first batch.
